We are looking for an Electrical Technician Trainee to assist carrying out the facility's marine and process electrical systems, associated equipment and utilities safely.

Responsibilities will be:

  • Assist maintaining facility electrical equipment within all applicable codes, regulations and standards
  • Assist maintaining rating of all electrical hazardous area equipment
  • Assist carrying out routine maintenance on electrical control panel
  • Participate in the failure root cause investigation/troubleshooting of equipment
  • Participate in a coordinated Nationalization and OJT program
  • Participate on the maintenance activities realized by external support contractors related to electrical department
  • Assist executing planned preventive and corrective maintenance routines
  • Prepare daily activities report and refer to his/her Supervisor
  • Ensure the electrical workshop is clear, clean and tools are correctly stored and maintained
  • Ensure all plant readings are carried out in a timely manner under instruction from the Production Supervisor

Position requirements are:

  • English
  • Bachelor degree minimum in electrics
  • Proven experience maintaining electrical equipment as : HV/lv electrical motors, power supply, UPS, inverter, rectifier, VFD, switch board, isolations, earthing systems, gas turbine driven, power transformer etc.
